Kids' Party Games
Choose from the following games
Treasure Hunt
No Pirate Party is complete without a Treasure Hunt! Children are given a series of clues or sent on a scavanger hunt which leads them to hidden lollies and party favours. Treasure Hunts are great in both indoor and outdoor situations. Suitable for all ages.
Pass-the-Parcel
Pass-the-Parcel is a popular game in which a parcel is passed from child to child around a circle. In preparation of the game, a prize is wrapped in a large number of layers of wrapping paper. During the game music is played as the parcel is passed around. Whoever is holding the parcel when the music is stopped removes one layer of wrapping and claims a small prize found under that layer. The music is then restarted and the game continues until every layer is removed and the main prize claimed. Suitable for all ages.
Pin The Patch On The Pirate
Similar to 'Pin The Tail On The Donkey' children line up and take it in turns to pin an eye patch on the priate after they have been blindfolded and spun around. Suitable for children aged 2 years and over.
Musical Statues
In this game the children move or dance around the room to music, "freezing" when the music stops. The child who moves first is out of the game. The music is then restarted and the game continues until there is only one child remaining. This child is the winner. Suitable for children aged 3 years and over.
Lolly Relay
Children are divided into two teams and form lines. The first child in each line is given a pair of mittens. Each child is given a wrapped lolly. The first player in each line puts on the mittens, unwraps the lolly and pops it into their mouth. Then they quickly take the mittens off and hand them to the second person in line who does the same, and so on, down the line. The team that finishes first wins. Suitable for children aged 3 years and over.
Balloon Stomp
Balloons with lollies inside are placed around the room. Children are then instructed to go around bursting the balloons to get the lollies. Children love this game and generally go "crazy" bursting the balloons. Another party that's great indoors and outdoors. Suitable for children aged 3 years and over.
Sleeping Lions
Here all of the children (except one or two hunters) lie down on the floor in sleeping postions. Once they are settled they are not allowed to move. The hunters then walk through the room and try to make the sleeping lions move by making them laugh, telling jokes and so on. However, the hunters are not allowed to touch the lions. As soon as a lion moves they are tapped on the shoulder to get up and join the hunters. The last child still on the floor wins! Suitable for children aged 3 years and over.
Arts & Crafts
Turning wooden spoons into pirates or farmyard animals or decorating superhero masks and fairy wands, there is an arts and craft activity for each party theme. A great way for children to explore their creative side. Suitable for all ages.
