Hip, Hip, Hooray! It's time for cake at Lions & Ladybirds as we celebrate our 1st birthday. Talking of cake, last year the Think Pink Rocks cancer charity in the US secured the World Record for the largest cupcake. It was enormous at 4 1/2 feet high and 6 feet wide. They used: 240 pounds of eggs; 225 pounds of sugar; 510 pounds of flour; 225 pounds of baking powder; vast amounts of oil, vanilla, cocoa, salt, milk and water; and, 350 pounds of icing. It took 24 hours of baking time; 5 bakers; and, an oven 10 feet wide x 10 feet high to make it. I wonder how long it took them to eat it?!
