Nominate someone on the day of the party to take photos, one less thing for you to have to worry about.
Another great party game is Balloon Stomp. Balloons with lollies inside are placed around the room. Children are then instructed to go around bursting the balloons to get the lollies. Great indoors or out, kids love this game and generally go crazy bursting the balloons. Suitable for children aged 3 years and over. Keep a first aid kit on hand at the party in case of any bumps and bruises. If your budget allows, an entertainer such as a fairy, clown or magician makes a great addition to any party and is fantastic fun for the kids. When choosing an entertainer, chose one that is age appropriate for the children. It’s always a good idea to ask to see testimonials from other clients and if you can, arrange to pop along to see them perform at another party or event. If you’re worried that your preschooler and his/her party guests are getting over excited and a little too wild, a simple craft activity like decorating party hats, superhero masks or fairy wands is a great way to restore calm. Hang on to your old cereal boxes to make recycled food trays, perfect for serving food in. Tape up the open end. Turn it on a flat side and cut a hole 2cm from the edge. You can paint the box or wrap it in tissue paper to match your colour scheme. They look great and at the end of the party you simply recycle them! Parties are a time to have fun, which means all guests should go home smiling. If you are going to provide prizes, try to reward all players just for participating with either a sticker or lollipop or avoid prizes all together. Pin the Tail on the Donkey is another popular children’s party game. This game can be adapted to suit the theme of your party for example, Pin the Patch on the Pirate for a Pirate party and Pin the Wings on the Fairy for an Enchanted party.
